Details of the experience
We live in a world overloaded with stimuli and immediacy, the lack of time combined with an excess of ambitions, results in high degrees of anxiety. More than half of the workers say they experience stress.
It is a natural process that our body undergoes, as a method of survival, in situations that cause us fear, but that lived continuously and with excessive intensity has very detrimental effects on our health.
The forest bath, known as Shinrin-Yoku, is a therapy that was born in Japan around 1982. It is an exercise in contemplation, in which the 5 senses intervene, during a silent walking meditation. During meditation we immerse ourselves in nature, connect in the present moment and enjoy picturesque landscapes.
This active meditation will help to relax mentally and emotionally, although it will also activate the physical body. Among its benefits is the decrease in blood pressure and the stress hormone. It also improves mood, creativity and increases the ability to concentrate.
The practice helps to absorb the vibrant energy of the environment with each step taken and to raise the body awareness and physical sensations as one moves.
Sometimes our day to day makes us forget that we are part of nature.
Listen to the silence, breathe, close your eyes for a second and open them again. We will see, smell, taste, feel and hear around us. You simply have to relax and above all, go slowly, I know that for some this is difficult.
