Details of the experience
The Royal Tin Factory of San Miguel is one of the spaces with the longest history in Andalusia, ordered to be built in 1725 by the Spanish crown, it became the first blast furnace in Spain, a military project, where the tinplate that Many uses, it was moved on camels to the Port of Estepona and from there, on ships to the shipyards of Cádiz, where it was used to coat the Spanish ships that crossed the Atlantic Ocean to America.
A magical space that served as a refuge for bandits during the French invasion and that today has been converted into a natural wine cellar, where the wine made with the Pinot Noir grape grown further south in Europe stands out.
But our experience does not begin and end at the Royal Tin Factory, we propose a hiking route from the town of Júzcar (Smurf town), accompanied by the "forest apothecary", the local character who knows the most about aromatic and medicinal plants. So we will add a route for all physical levels of 1,5 hours (stops included), to enjoy a Mediterranean forest bath and carry out a workshop of aromatic and medicinal plants as we go.
At the winery, a private visit of its facilities awaits us, always accompanied by the winemaker, as well as a tasting of its 4 wines and an appetizer of local tapas, with the option of staying for lunch or, if you wish, spending the night in a of its cozy rooms.
